“ We went here on our first night in Beer and it was so good we booked for the second. The food is inventive and delicious. They swopped fish for chicken in my wife's curry, and the venison was gorgeous. Goats cheese starter was wonderful. Second night, the burger was fabulous. Nice draught beer too. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Definitely recommend. ”

“ Best restaurant in Beer. Recommended to us by a local and I'm so glad he did as this place is fabulous. Was greeted by our waitress who served us all evening. She was warm, friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Food was fantastic. Husband had carpaccio to start (said it was the best he's ever had) and I had Cauliflower and cheese fritters which tasted amazing. For mains we had mussels and fish and chips which again tasted fantastic. Fish was cooked to perfection and the batter (which I don't usually eat) was superb. Prices were reasonable especially for the quality of food. This place is a must if you like good food. Make sure to book though as it gets very busy every evening. We will be going back to this wonderful restaurant ”

“ The service is second to none at this lovely restaurant really efficient helpful staff. Orders were taken promptly and food arrived in a timely fashion too. The Greek platter was delicious and we opted for mussels and the fish and chips which I couldn’t finish as there were soooo many chips! Wine was amazing as was the cheesecake. “ I’m always apprehensive when I see Indian, Vietnamese, British and Italian cuisines on the same menu. The Vietnamese salad was the highlight dish, being a perfect combination of sweet, spicy, crispy and herbal. Desserts were also amazing and a great end to the meal. The lotus biscoff cheesecake had that perfect caramel flavour and was complemented by the rich clotted cream ice cream. I found the pizzas a bit of a disappointment due to them having too much cheese and being bit bland. ”

Smugglers is a lovely, busy restaurant with great food and great service. We had a sharing starter and tried the Jambalaya, Laksa and seafood linguine.
